We are a Non-profit women’s support group who help others in need to make a better World
Dawah
Sisters4Islam has been supporting communities in areas with a high population of reverts. We have successfully launched and built madrassahs in areas where new Muslims can access information and get support to learn more about Islam.
Wells for Africa
The Wells for Africa project was first established in July 2017. The original idea was inspired by Dr Fatihiya Saad, one of our Charity Trustees.
Dr Saad wanted to build a well in memory of her late mother, Saada M Ali who passed away in 2014. After she consulted with a member of the local community in Kenya, a campaign to raise funds amongst the community was underway.
Alhamdullilah the U.K community along with Sisters4Islam managed to raise the required amount and the first Wells4Africa was built in Koyonzo, Kakamega, Kenya. This well catered for the Kayonzo School for the blind.
We have since campaigned for other Wells to be built and have currently established 13 boreholes, taps and wells in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Senegal, Nigeria, Yemen and Bangladesh.
One of the biggest impacts we can make in developing countries is to help supply sustainable access to clean water for rural communities in need.
The project is ongoing and we hope to span out to other countries that are marginalised and need access to clean water for daily use.
Orphans & Elderly
Sisters4Islam has been actively supporting orphanages in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe since 2017.
What began as support for five orphanages has now increased to 20, and the number keeps growing.
Sadly most of these children have no other support whatsoever and depend on generous donations from wellwishers. We hope to assist some of the children to get an education so that they grow up to be sound and independent citizens.
Hunger Relief
Sisters4Islam has been at the forefront of providing relief to war-torn regions like Somalia, Yemen, Syria and Burma and have managed to raise £13,400 since June 2018.
We send food aid to Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Sudan, Nigeria, Malawi, Burundi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Every year Sisters4Islam also collects Ramadhan Iftar donations and Eidul Adha Qurbani to help feed communities who are lacking in food provisions.
Education Support
In November 2017, Sisters4Islam launched the Educate Programme to sponsor needy and orphan children at a village school in Western Uganda.
Through generous donations, fifty-six primary, and two secondary students were sponsored in 2018.
We have now launched appeals in order to continue to educate even more students.
