Importance of Sadaqah
Sadaqah means alms that are given to the poor or needy in the community. For the past few years, Sisters4Islam has been collecting regular donations from the community. These alms are given to community members facing hardship both locally and abroad.
Projects that are funded by sadaqah funds include. Wells dug in dry areas that need water, feeding orphanages, education and support of community projects. The most recent being the provision of toilet facilities for an Orphanage at the Coast of Kenya.
Sisters4Islam are grateful to our regular donors who make it possible to run these projects.
The Qur’an explicitly tells us
“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing”.
Qur’an Suratil Baqrah (Chapter 2 verse 261)
